Recipe for happiness. Is it really there or is it a myth?
It is said that happy is that person who has a recipe for happiness and can handle it wisely. What do you think?
“Take responsibility of your own happiness, never put it in other people´s hands.” – Roy T. Bennett
The definition of happiness according to Wikipedia is used in the context of mental or emotional states, including positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. It is also used in the context of life satisfaction, subjective well-being, eudaimonia, flourishing, and well-being.
But how would I explain this word and what does it mean to me?
I don’t know if there is any universal definition or recipe for happiness.
I like to keep a diary and I prefer to browse through it and remember the various situations I experienced, when I was happy and when, on the other hand, I was not happy. This led me to create a kind of my personal recipe for happiness.
When I moved to Bournemouth and first went to the beach I was very happy. One of my big children’s dreams came true. Living by the sea.
You can read more about Bournemouth in my article here.
At home, they first laughed at it and told me to stop being naive and dreaming. They told me that dreams were only for rich people and that others had to come to terms with reality.
Who knows where I would be if I believed them.
I like to dream and I don’t think there is nothing wrong with that. It’s like in most of those American romantic movies about finding true love, dream life or job, and how perfect it all is. It doesn’t work that way in real life, but we still love these movies. It’s the same with dreaming. Not every dream is real and will come true, but we do it anyway. Plus, I believe that as I apply this activity to my life more and more often, I get the desire to realize my dreams more and more.
This is my first ingredient in my recipe for happiness. You dream as much as you want, it’s nothing wrong about it.
Plus, I believe that as I apply this activity to my life more and more often, I get the desire to realize my dreams more and more. What you can imagine, you can do, you just need to believe in that.
My only problem is my lack of patience. Yes, that’s right …
You have to be patient to achieve all the goals. Happiness does not fall from the sky and just like success on it, you have to work on it, work patiently. This is my second ingredient to my recipe for happiness.
If you don’t have the patience, you have to start working on it. So at least you should because it can happen that if you follow your goal step by step, there will be an obstacle and a boom. Everything collapses like a house of carats. The obstacle discourages you and threatens you to lose sight of your goal.
Whatever you do, you must not miss patience. Patience, after all, brings roses or fruit or whatever. I began to work on my patience. It’s going slowly but better this way than never.
I would say that another ingredient to a happy life is to find something, an activity or a hobby that will entertain you and make you happy. At the same time, you can try and practice your patience.
The key is to find something you enjoy and put everything into it. If you start with something that makes you happy and at the same time you will become healthier and smarter, things will start to happen. Your life will change positively for you, you will start to enjoy it more, it may even motivate you to get out of bed earlier in the morning. If you don’t try, you don’t know.
Another ingredient to my recipe for happiness, in my opinion, should be gratitude.
Now is the time when people thank little for what they have or who they have. I try to be grateful for everything in my life, even for the little things. Maybe it’s because I built everything I have myself and it wasn’t easy at all.
I don’t think it’s a matter of course to have good people around you. It is rare to have people around me with whom I can be myself and don’t have to wear a mask. I know it because I have people like that around me. If you have them around you, don’t forget to thank them.
In the end. Life is too short for us to waste or frown on it.
Happiness comes from within. It is the energy that springs from within. You don’t need to draw it from external sources. If you are not internally satisfied and happy, you can move from one corner of the world to another, you can change partner, work, car. And yet you will not feel happy. We create our own happiness. By his thinking, attitude, and settings.
Try to have positive energy radiating from you, smile and all this will come back to you later. I believe that, because I believe that everything is about a positive life attitude, so you believe it too.
Maybe this is not the recipe for happiness you may have expected but I hope that I have given you at least some advice and tips on the right motivation and more beautiful life, and I believe that if you mix at least one of these ingredients into your life, it will be much better and happier for you.
